Calling creatives and community enthusiasts! We need you!
It’s never too early to start getting into the Christmas spirit… Introducing our #ChristmasInKillorglin ambassadors, you will hear and see more from them throughout the festive season but now they’re calling on local creatives and community enthusiasts to be part of the 2023 #KillorglinChristmasWindowProject.
The ambassadors believe in the power of community and creativity coming together to make our town shine brighter during the festive season and they’re on a mission to bring life and festive cheer to our town’s old, disused windows.
So they’re looking for artistic volunteers to participate in the inaugural Killorglin Christmas Window Project. Are you a set designer, set dresser, carpenter, illustrator, creative painter, artist, or graphic designer?
If you have a vision for a window or a design you’d like to bring to life through graphic design, window painting or physical dressing, or if you have set dressing or carpentry skills and you’d like to help, please get in touch. Let’s collaborate to make Killorglin more cheerful and festive than ever before.
The local schools are playing an integral role in the project, with talented children contributing their creative flair. It’s a true celebration of our town’s creativity, and we can’t wait to see their designs come to life!
The trail will be designed to allow locals and visitors to experience the stunning visuals up close and personal as each window will have a QR code linking to an interactive Christmas Window Trail Map. Here, we’ll showcase information about the contributors and the idea behind each window design.
This project is about the community coming together to brighten Killorglin this Christmas so if you can volunteer your time for around two evenings in late November/early December, please apply to join the #ChristmasInKillorglin team by filling out the form below and someone will be in touch with you in due course.
