Killorglin.ie’s Children’s Christmas Art/Colouring Competition 2023

Get the crayons and paint out, sharpen those pencils and take part in Killorglin.ie’s Children’s Christmas Art/Colouring Competition for 2023.

Submit your masterpieces via the below form or you can hand them into the Killorglin Library (Opening Hours: Tuesday to Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm) for a chance to win some great prizes. The closing date for entries is Friday, December 22nd with winners being announced in early January 2024

Age categories: 

There are 3 categories with one winner per category:

  • Up to 5 years of age
  • 6 to 9 years
  • 10 to 14 years

The serious bit… the rules 

  1. Each category winner will receive a prize
  2. Each student may submit only one entry
  3. If submitting your own work the student’s design must be on one side of the page using any medium
  4. Artwork must be two-dimensional and represent original work by the student. Computer-generated artwork will not be accepted
  5. If submitting your own artwork the theme is ‘Christmas in Killorglin’
  6. All entries must have the artist’s name and age on it
  7. A first-place winner will be selected in each of the three categories mentioned above
  8. Ages and abilities will be taken into consideration when judging all categories
  9. The judges’ decision is final
  10. Reproductions of your child’s artwork and name will be displayed on the killorglin.ie website and its social channels
  11. The winner agrees to use his/her name and image in any publicity material
  12. The closing date for entries is Friday, December 22nd with winners being announced in early January 2024
