Join us in rebuilding the Youth Club for Killorglin

For many years, Killorglin has been missing a vital ingredient in its community tapestry—a youth club. It’s high time that changed, and the good news is, that we, along with a number of key stakeholders, are on a mission to bring it back to life! The first step in this exciting journey is to gather a dedicated group of adults who are passionate about empowering the youth of Killorglin. So if you’ve been longing to make a positive impact on the town’s younger generation, this is your chance to shine.
Calling All Potential Leaders
Are you ready to step up and make a difference in the lives of young people in Killorglin? We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to become leaders and mentors for our budding youth club. By becoming a leader, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our town and provide a safe, welcoming space for our youth to learn, grow, and have fun.
Getting involved is easier than you might think. Here’s what you need to do:
Reach out to either TJ O’Connor at +353 87 6277141 or Damien Quigg at +353 87 9011631 and they will guide you through the process. After making initial contact, you’ll have the chance to join an online introduction session. This is where you’ll get a glimpse of what the team have in store for Killorglin’s youth and learn more about the youth club’s mission and vision.
Key dates
Induction – Thursday, September 21st from 6 pm to 8 pm. Location: KDYS Centre, Killorglin. This induction session will provide you with valuable insights into the role of a youth club leader and help you understand how you can contribute to the development of our young members.
Child Protection Training – Wednesday, September 27th from 6 pm to 10 pm. Location: ISK Killorglin. The safety and well-being of our youth is of utmost importance. This training will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to ensure a secure and nurturing environment for our club members.
Future Commitment
Once the Killorglin Youth Club has recruited a sufficient number of leaders it’s envisaged that the club will run once every 4 to 5 weeks on Friday nights, from 7:30 pm to 10 pm. Your commitment will be essential in providing a consistent and enjoyable experience for our young participants.
The revival of the Killorglin Youth Club is a community effort, and your participation can make a significant difference in the lives of our town’s youth.
