Puck Fair is back – so let’s have the craic!

Puck Fair is back – so let’s have the craic! That’s the motto behind the 2022 edition of Ireland’s oldest festival. We’ve had a long two summers without Kerry’s favourite festival, but now Puck Fair is back and back with a bang. This year’s fair will take place from Wednesday, August 10th to Friday, August 12th 2022.

The festival kicks off on Wednesday, August 10th with the crowning of a mountain goat by local schoolgirl Alesha Williams, followed by a parade through Killorglin. The three-day event will also feature a horse fair, cattle market, live music, street food, market stalls and a fun fair. A fireworks display will conclude the fair at midnight on Friday, August 12th 2022.

Festival organisers anticipate that this year’s Puck Fair will draw crowds of people eager to have a bit of craic after two summers of lock-down.

As a result of the festival, Kerry County Council has decided to close the following streets:

A traffic diversion system will operate on the main approaches to the town.

Event organisers say there is ample car parking available in the Annadale Road Car Park (opposite Bianconi Inn), Killarney Road (near Puck Goat Statue), and the Tralee Road.
